Eagle Scout Letters of Recommendation

Posted by shawn.ovenden on Dec 9 2017 - 5:54pm

If you are a LIFE SCOUT and will be working on your Eagle Rank soon, please note that there is a sample form you can provide to those that are writing a letter of recommendation on your behalf. It is suggested you would give this form along with a self addressed stamped envelope addressed to the Scoutmaster with your name on the bottom left corner of the envelope. That way when the Scoutmaster gets the sealed letter in the mail - he knows it is regarding your Eagle Scout Board of Review. This is also very helpful when there are multiple letters coming in for more than one scout at a time.

Salvation Army Requests

Posted by shawn.ovenden on Dec 9 2017 - 5:54pm

We have been sent notices from The Salvation Army for volunteer opportunities:

Omaha's extreme winter cold can be deadly to the homeless and near-homeless. Now through March 9,(weekday evenings) the mobile unit travels to where people in need congregate. It delivers hot meals and warm clothing and blankets. Volunteers are needed..just follow the link here: Winter Night Watch

Rechartering Time!

Posted by shawn.ovenden on Dec 9 2017 - 5:48pm

Mr. Nepper had to submit our new Roster at the Soaring Eagle Roundtable. If you wanted to recharter you can discuss this with Mr. Nepper at a future meeting. Adults would need to fulfill their Youth Protection at the time of rechartering if theirs has expired.  Mr. Nepper may also be reaching out to parents if you have not paid for your scout.
